Create IT is based in Blenheim, where we've been providing IT services for nearly 20 years. We're local to Marlborough, so when you use our services, you're putting money into New Zealand's regional economy, not someone offshore.

How Remote Support Works

Remote support is a great way to get help quickly without incurring call out fees, and often for small issues, it's possible to get help immediately without waiting for an appointment. If you require at least an hour of support a month, you'll only pay for the actual time you use to the nearest minute, however if you only need occasional one off support, you'll be charged for a minimum of half an hour.

You need to be able to log in to your computer and have a reliable connection to the internet.

Once you've downloaded Team Viewer remote support, you'll need to run it, give it permission to make changes to your computer, and then phone us on 03 578 1721 so that we know you're ready and waiting for help.

Microsoft Windows and Office Support

If something isn't working quite right on your Windows PC or laptop, or you're having issues with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Acces, and Publisher) , download our free remote support software, and give us a call, and we'll take a look for you.

If you use alternative office suites like LibreOffice, we can help with that too.

Photo Editing Software Support

We're big photography enthusiasts at Create IT, so if you need support with Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, or other software like Corel Paintshop Pro, Gimp, or a range of other photo editing software, the chances are we can help out. Photoshop is pretty complex software, so we don't know everything, but if it's not working properly, we can probably help.

Other Software Support

There are a lot of different software apps out there, and no one can be an expert in all of them, but sometimes something that's obvious to people who work with computers all the time may not be so obvious and causing issues that we can fix. We can look at email, remote meeting software like Zoom, Skype etc, and pretty much anything to see if we can help.

Do you support Apple?

Our quick support software works with Apple Macs as well as PCs, however we're not Apple experts, so can't guarantee we can help, however if it's simple issues like email configuration, or issues with software that works the same on Windows and Macs, we may be able to help.

What can I do if my computer won't connect to the Internet?

If your computer will turn on, but won't let you connect to the internet, you can give us a call and arrange to drop it off. If the problem is software related, we can fix it for you, however if it's hardware related, we may not be able to fix it. If you want us to come to you, there will be a callout fee in addition to any time on site.

What can I do if my computer won't turn on?

In this case, you probably need to take your computer to a repair service. Technically, Create IT can fix broken computers, but we don't carry spare parts and usually don't fix physically damaged computers as we're too busy with other work, so you'll likely get faster service elsewhere. If you absolutely can't find anyone else to fix your computer and it's urgent, we'll try to help, but will charge a premium over our normal hourly rate.
